Greek Maritime Legislation
The Company conducts its activities in Greece in accordance with applicable Greek corporate, maritime, employment and statutory requirements, maintaining appropriate corporate records, procedures and regulatory compliance.
Greek Law 89/1967
The company operates under the Greek maritime framework Law 89/1967, combining regional maritime expertise with internationally aligned operational standards.
International Maritime Organization
The Company monitors and applies relevant IMO instruments, codes and amendments applicable to its vessels and operations, including requirements relating to safety, environmental protection, vessel operation and certification.
SOLAS Convention
The Company verifies that vessels meet applicable safety requirements for construction, equipment and operation, including required safety equipment, certification and operational standards compatible with safety of life at sea.
MARPOL & Decarbonization
Minimizing ship-generated pollution (oil, garbage, sewage, air emissions). Reducing carbon footprint through active management of vessel efficiency indicators, including CII, EEXI, waste management, and ballast water treatment systems.
STCW Convention
The Company verifies that seafarers hold the required qualifications, certificates, training and competencies for their positions and that applicable watchkeeping requirements are strictly observed across all bridge and engine operations.
Vessel Quality & Age Standards
Selective approach to vessel employment considering age, class status, technical condition, safety track record, and healthcare. Vessels over 20 years of age are considered only following satisfactory technical evaluation and confirmation of compliance.
Crew Medical Fitness & Pre-Employment Screening
Every seafarer proposed for employment is subject to rigorous medical review before final approval and deployment. Particular attention is given to cardiovascular conditions, surgery histories, diabetes, long-term medication, and previous medical repatriation.
MLC, 2006 (ILO)
Applying international standards concerning Seafarer Employment Agreements, working and rest hours, wages, repatriation, medical care onboard and ashore, accommodation, food, and seafarer welfare.
Flag State Implementation
For each vessel, the Company verifies compliance with requirements of the vessel's Flag Administration, including applicable statutory certification, annual surveys, documentation and enforcement of IMO conventions.
Classification Society (IACS)
Every vessel managed or operated is required to maintain valid Class status with an IACS member classification society, with continuous survey compliance and technical certification verified vessel-by-vessel.
Commercial & Technical Due Diligence
The Company conducts commercial and technical due diligence in accordance with applicable BIMCO standards and clauses, together with established maritime industry practices. Prior to fixture, each vessel and cargo is assessed for suitability, valid class and statutory status, technical condition, safety, insurance, cargo requirements and operational risks. Each vessel must be classed with an IACS member classification society. Fixtures are concluded only following satisfactory completion of due diligence and agreement of the applicable contractual terms.
Fleet & Cargo Operations
The Company optimizes fleet performance, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and distribution of cargoes to various ports in accordance with the terms and conditions of each transportation contract.
Sanctions Clause & Screening
The Company conducts sanctions and counterparty screening before entering into any fixture or contractual commitment. Relevant vessels, owners, charterers, counterparties, cargoes, ports and trading parties are checked against applicable international sanctions requirements.
The Company applies applicable BIMCO sanctions clauses in its contractual arrangements and does not proceed with transactions where sanctions restrictions, prohibited activities or unacceptable compliance risks are identified.
